Germany: The success of Armadillo
A new success with Armadillo by Dr. Vincent Geest, Lucas Kath (MTRA), and Dr. Fabian Alexander Flottmann, at UKE Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany.
PRESENTATION:
• Female patient, around 50 years old
• Fusiform aneurysm of the right internal carotid artery
• Access through the right radial artery and Terumo 7F sheath
• Treated with a P64 flow diverter inserted through a Headway 21 microcatheter
• Armadillo placed in the petrous segment and set in support mode
Following the success of the procedure, Dr. Fabian Flottmann comments on his experience as follows:
“I had a great experience using the Armadillo transradial guide catheter, and I am looking forward to performing more cases with this exciting new technology. Its deliverability was promising, and the option to use anchor or sail techniques could be beneficial for navigating challenging anatomy. I am eager to further evaluate its performance in different scenarios.”
